This advanced test solution combines the capabilities of a VI curve tracer, oscilloscope, component tester, programmable DC power supply, and non-contact IR temperature measurement system in one compact device. When paired with the FADOS MUX multiplexer module, it can automatically test up to 96 circuit points, with an upgrade path to 192 points.

How the Programmable Power Test Works

The FADOS9F1 programmable power supply can be connected to the power rails of the circuit board under test. Before testing, the operator can set a maximum voltage limit. After activating the power test, the system gradually increases the output in controlled 100 mV increments until it reaches the selected limit.


Voltage and current readings are saved automatically. The non-contact IR temperature measurement can then help identify components that become unusually hot, making it easier to locate hidden faults on the board.


FADOS MUX Multiplexer Module

The FADOS MUX module automates board-point testing by connecting the FADOS9F1 to multiple locations on an electronic circuit board.


It can create VI curve graphs for 96 or more test points, reducing repetitive manual testing and improving productivity. The system is suitable for testing boards with multiple components, test pads, power rails, and signal points.
